Nepali National Cricket team is coming back from their disastrous New Zealand tour finishing ninth in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers that sends two teams in the World Cup and four get ODI status for the next four years.
Nepal, who aimed to play One Day World Cup or either gain an ODI status for next four years, ended with ninth position after wining 9th place play off against Uganda by 160 runs on Tuesday.
Nepali team which had flied on 9:05 am Auckland time on Dragon Air will land TIA at 10:20 Nepali time in the night. Nepal lost their all group stage matches including the seventh place play off semi final against Netherlands by seven wickets.
Nepal began the tournament with a 102-run margin against the UAE before losing to Scotland by 90 runs. To keep up the hope to remain in hunt for the World Cup or gaining ODI status, Nepal needed to win the third match against Hong Kong but went on to lose by 10 wickets.
They lost their last group stage match against Canada by 12 runs. The national team will now put their focus in the ICC World Twenty20.
