Nepal will face Maldives in the team’s first match of the ACC T20 cup due to be held in Nepal from 26th March. The tournament, which will end on the third of March, will see up to four matches played in a day at the venues, TU Ground, Kirtipur and Institute of Engineering Ground, Pulchowk.
The opening day’s tie are — Nepal vs Maldives and Afghanistan vs Oman at TU Ground and Kuwait vs UAE and Hong Kong vs Malaysia at Pulchowk grounds. Nepal is in group A of the ten nation tournament along with Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Maldives. Afghanistan, UAE, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain are in the next group, group B. Two teams qualify for the semifinals from the group stages.
In other matches of the group phase, Nepal plays against Hong Kong on 27th of March, against Malaysia on 30th of March, and against Singapore on 31st of March. All of Nepal’s group phase matches including the semifinals and the final will be played in the TU ground. The Pulchowk ground will host some group phase matches and the play-off for the third and fourth places.
Both semifinals will be played on 2nd of April and the final and the play-off will be played on the third of April.
