Nepal to defend 110 runs against Hong Kong

After Nepali
batsman continued their worst performance Nepal has set a target of 110
during a match against Hong Kong on ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers in the match
which is being held at Belfast.

Nepal were
once 31 for 5 in 9.5 overs and were heading towards yet another worst score.
But thanks to Rajesh Pulami Magar and Sharad Vesawkar who added 41 runs for
sixth wicket in 6.1 overs to take Nepal to moderate total.


Vesawkar was
the highest run scorer for Nepal who made 27 runs from 24 balls with two fours
and a six while Pulami score 34 balls 25 runs with two sixer. Som Pal Kami who
came to bat at number nine scored 16 runs from 12 balls with one sixer. Opener
Sagar Pun and Bashant Regmi who came to bat at number five both made 11 runs.

None of the
other batsmen could score double figure runs. Pradeep Airee was out on first
ball duck while middle order batsman Gyanendra was also out on duck playing two
balls. Other batsmen who could not cross double figure score were Subash
Khakurel and Shakti Gauchan two runs each, Captain Paras Khadka one run and Jitendra
Mukhiya remained not out making zero in one balls.


Haseeb Amjad
was the most destructive bowler of Hong Kong who took four wicket in four overs
conceding 16 runs. Opening batsman Irfan Ahmed took two wickets while Tanwir
Afzal, Aizaz Khan and Nizakat Khan had a scalp.
