Nepal will chase a target of 101 runs against Bermuda as bowlers crushed Bermuda in 100 runs in the ICC World Cricket League Division III at Selangor Turf Club, Kuala Lumpur.
Bermuda was once 77 for two till 19.3 overs. But the story soon changed as birthday boy captain Paras brought the most experienced left arm spinners Basant Regmi and Shakti Gauchan into the attack. Bermuda lost their last eight wickets just for 23 runs.
Shakti was the most economical bowler who bowled seven overs and took two wickets conceding seven runs with two maiden overs. Regmi also took two wickets conceding 23 runs in his nine overs. Likewise Som Pal Kami and Sagar Pun took one wicket each in the match.
Amrit Bhattarai made a successful comeback to the national side after recovering from injury removed openers Terryn Fray (10) and Janeiro Tucker (17) reducing Bermuda to 29-2.
