Nepal have set Malaysia for a target of 162 runs in the final match of the ACC U-16 Premier League at the Kinrara Oval grounds in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Wednesday.
Host country Malaysia elected to field first after winning the toss but despite putting a fine display with the ball and on the field, they couldn’t stop Nepal from reaching 161-9 in 40 overs.
Pawan Sharraf top scored for Nepal with 44 runs lifting Nepal from a difficult situtation. With Pawan hitting hard, Nepal scored 105 runs from the last 20 overs after collecting just 55 from first 20. Pawan smashed four boundaries and two sixes in his 26-ball 44. Rabi Chand also chipped in 34 from the top order for Nepal.
