Nepal confident of finishing as group winner

Nepal U19 is confident of finishing as group winner as they meet Singapore U19 in the third and last match of Group A in U19 Asia Cup Qualifiers which is being held at Malaysia..

Nepal U19 and Singapore U19 both has two wins in two games they have played so far and are in the semi-final of the tournament. The winner of tomorrow’s match which will be played at Club Oman will decide the group winner. 

Both coach Binod Das and captain Dipendra Singh Airee is confident of winning the match against Singapore and finishing group stage as the top team.

“We have played good cricket so far in two matches. Our bowler has been in a great form. Our batting is also doing good. So we are confident of winning tomorrow’s  match,” says coach Das. “I think we are a far better team than Singapore. But we need to perform as we did against Bhutan and Thailand. Our next target is to finish Group A as group winner.”

Captain Airee is also confident as his coach for the match against Singapore. Airee says, “We have played good cricket. If we aim to find ourselves in U19 Asia Cup we need to win the title. So we need to win the game against Singapore. If we continued our game as we did in the last two matches we will easily defeat Singapore.”

Nepal defeated Thailand U19 by a huge margin of 255 runs in their first match and then thrashed Butan U19 by nine wickets after bundling them in just 50 runs.
