Nepal beat UAE in second practice

Nepal defeated UAE by 31 runs in their second practice match of their seven-day preparation tour of the UAE in a night match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday.

 

Nepal had lost their first practice match against The Netherlands by 44 runs on Thursday.

 

Nepal made 149-8 in 20 overs before bundling out the hosts for just 118 in 20 overs. Som Pal Kami — who had taken two wickets against the Netherlands on Thursday — picked up three wickets today, while Sagar Pun, Jitendra Mukhiya and Basanta Regmi took two wickets apiece. 

 

Shakti Gauchan also had one scalp.

 

Nepal will now head to Bangladesh to begin their ICC World Twenty20 campaign that starts from March 16.

 

Nepal will play two official warm-up matches against Ireland and UAE before playing their first match of the World Cup against Hong Kong in the opening day.
