Nepal APF Club skipper Neera Rajopadhyaya broke the record of fastest century in women’s cricket completing the triple figures in just 70 balls in a Women’s National Cricket Tournament match against Region No 8 (Pokhara) at the Pulchowk Engineering College grounds on Tuesday.

Neera – who also made a peculiar record of hitting six consecutive boundaries in the 39th over – ended up making 116 off just 75 balls. Neera broke the fastest century record set by Rekha Rawal of Region No 6 (Baitadi).
Rekha had smashed 74-ball century against Pokhara where multiple records were set during the match on Sunday.
Following Neera’s scintillating knock APF reached 339-4 in 40 overs. Neera shared an unbeaten partnership of 161 runs for the fifth wicket with Sarita Magar. Sarita smashed 83 runs alone as Pokhara once again were hit for records.
