Nepal Commerce Campus has won the title of Thames Inter College BBA Cup cricket tournament in the match held at Army Cricket Ground.
Nepal Commerce defeated Mahendra Morang Adarsha Multiple Campus by two runs in the match which ended in super over.
In the super over match NCC made 11 runs losing their two wickets. But they restricted Mahendra Morang one nine runs in allocated one over.
Earlier Mahendra Morang batted first winning the toss and were all out making 110 runs in 19.4 overs. Raju Sharma was the highest run scorer for Mahendra Morang who made not out 30 runs in 16 runs with six fours. Likewise Manish Basnet made 19 runs.
Sandesh Shrestha of Nepal Commerce took three wickets while Sanjay Chand took two wickets.
Chasing a target of 111 runs in 20 overs Nepal Commerce could make 110 runs in 20 runs losing nine wickets. Wicket keeper batsman Sanjay Chand of Nepal Commerce who was adjudged man of the match made not out 50 runs in 54 balls could not help his team a win but still took match to super over.
Sandesh Shrestha of Nepal Commerce Campus who took 10 wickets in four overs was rewarded with best bowler of the tournament award while his team mate Biplav Basnet was announced as best batsman of the tournament for his 153 runs with two half century.
Sitesh Tiwari of Kathford International College who made 131 runs and 10 wickets in fours innings was rewarded with player of the tournament award.
