NCA brings programme for SLC students

After almost 500 kids joined U-12 Programme, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has prepared itself to train SLC-appeared students from April 21.NCA – running under the Cricket Association of Nepal – will provide a one-month package where the participants will be provided with basic training along with facilities of swimming, physical fitness and Art of Living classes. National team skipper Binod Das, who is the coach of the NCA and leading all NCA activities, said the huge response to U-12 Youth Programme motivated them to introduce the new programme. After its establishment on January 15, NCA launched its first programme in U-12 Youth Programme which received applications from almost 500 kids from different schools and Kathmandu Cricket Training Centre. The U-12 participants are currently undergoing basic training on cricket every Saturday. While the U-12 participants have been getting free training, NCA is charging Rs 5000 for the SLC programme. Das along with former national team skipper Raju Basnyat, former national team member Dipendra Chaudhary, Kalam Ali, women’s national team member and former skipper Neera Rajopadhayay along with Binu Budha Magar will provide training to the SLC programme participants. NCA has opened the registration on April 19 and 20. NCA has also planned to extend its branches across the nation and under that plan it recently gave affiliation to Dhangadhi Cricket Academy (DCA). The DCA has also begun NCA’s U-12 Programme facilitating sever kids at the Far-western Region of the country. NCA is providing the DCA with coaches and kits to conduct the programme.
