BS Sports, a subsidiary of Singapore’s Singa Steel SG Ltd, on Sunday unveiled the new national team jersey. Nepal will wear the jersey in the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 to be held in Bangladesh from March 16.
Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) had recently signed a three-year agreement with Singha Steel for national and U-19 men’s and women’s team jersey and other kits excluding shoes in a deal that was worth 30 million rupees.
The deal so far is the biggest in Nepali cricket history. National Sports Council Member Secretary Yubaraj Lama and Saad Khan Januza, chief of Singha Steel unveiled the jersey during a ceremony at the Radisson Hotel in Kathmandu.
The company has sponsored over 30 international cricketing stars including Pakistan’s Kamran Akmal and Ravi Rampaul of West Indies to name a few. The national team is leaving for the United Arab Emirates for a week long training programme ahead of the World Twenty20.
