Nepal’s 2012 ICC U-19 World Cup batsmen Naresh Budhayer and Rajesh Pulami on Tuesday left for England for the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Young Cricketers Training programme.
The training programme is beginning from June 12 to July 26. The duo will hone their batting skills at the MCC programme which is participated in by players from both the Test and non-Test playing nations.
Following an initiation from cricket enthusiast Prashant Kunwar — a NRN at the UK –, the duo got an opporunity to join the programme. Prashant has taken the responsibility to look after the cricketers in England.
Nepal’s coach Pubudu Dassanayake had wanted batsmen among other than the national team members be given exposure. MCC has selected Naresh and Rajesh for the programme after watching their videos sent by technical analyst Raman Shiwakoti.
