Namibia out to compete and win

The Namibian team arrived in Kathmandu

on Thursday

 and will meet Nepal on

April 16 and 18

at the Tribhuvan University Stadium grounds. The matches will be crucial for both teams with Nepal languishing at the bottom of the eight-table without a win. Namibia are sixth with two points.

Namibia coach Dee Thakur said it will be tough to play against Nepal in their conditions. “We know there will a lot of people coming in for the game and we will try to block it out. We are here to compete and win,” said Thakur.

Skipper Stephan Baard said playing Nepal was going to be a challenge. “Its going to be tough to play against them as they have a side that don’t give up so easily. Its going to be an exciting contest. We will try to stay positive and beat them,” said Baard.
