Morkel 5 for 21 level the series

With the help of Morne Morkel’s carrier best bowling figure South Africa won the second One Day Internationals (ODI) against Australia by three wickets in the match held at Perth. After the win South Africa level the five match series against the host Australia 1-1.

 

Australia were all out in 41.1 overs making 154 runs as man of the match Morkel took five wickets in eight overs conceding 21 runs. Apart from Morkel Dayle Steyn also took three wickets. Mitchell Marsh was the highest run scorer for Australia who made 67 runs.

 

Chasing the target of 155 runs South Africa won the match in 27.4 overs losing their seven wickets. South Africa was losing wickets in regular basis but South African captain AB de Villlers even though missed his half century but took his team to the victory.

 

Now Australia and South Africa will play the third ODI at Canberra on November 19.
