Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Nepal XI settled for a draw in the only two-day match for the tourists in their 11-day Nepal tour.
Beginning the day at 72-5 with a trail of 156 runs, MCC declared their innings at 178-9. Nepal XI, who had made 228-8 in their first innings, declared their second innings at 179-7 setting the visitors a 230-run target with 44 overs left in the day.
MCC were 38-1 in 16 overs before both the captains agreed for a draw. Karan, who had taken three wickets a day earlier, picked up the only MCC wicket to fall.
MCC had their skipper Neil Dexter to thank for who scored 72 off 84 balls with 14 fours and a six to take the team close to 200 runs.
Shakti Gauchan finished with 4-33 for Nepal XI who had a disastrous start in their second innings losing the first four wickets for just 24 runs.
Rajesh Pulami once again came to the rescue with an 86-run partnership with Dipendra Airee. The two batsmen had also saved Nepal XI with an 88-run partnership for the sixth wicket on the first day.
After the fall of the Rajesh, Dipendra added another 40 with Pradeep Airee (25) and finished with 67 off 73 with six fours and three sixes. Rajesh made 49 off 55 with nine fours and a six. Steve Clark picked up three wickets for MCC.
