Tilathi Koilaadi Giants and TVS Kings Rajbiraj registered victories on the second day of the Mayor Cup Saptari Premier League on Monday.
At the Raj Stadium, Dipendra Singh Airee-led Giants got the better of Bajaj Khadak Warriors by four wickets. Warriors were all out for just 99 in 19.3 overs after Aadil Ansari returned the figures of 3-20 from 3.3 overs.
Rashid Khan and Dipesh Kandel also bowled a tight line in their identical figures of 2-13 from four overs apiece. Anil Kumar Sah top scored for them with 22 runs, while skipper Bibek Yadav (21) was the other notable scorer.
Opener Aashish Jha led the chase for Giants as the man-of-the-match struck a 50-ball 65 with eight fours and three sixes. Dipesh was unbeaten on 13. Bhulawan Shahani took three wickets for Warriors.
Later in the day, Kings won the match their match against Bode Barsain Thunders in Super Over after both teams were tied on 156 runs each. In the Super Over, Thunders made just four runs with Kings needing just three balls to get across the finishing line.
Kings had made 156-7 after Dinesh Adhikari made a 28-ball 51 that included five fours and three sixes. Sonu Ansari scored 30, while Suraj Kurmi (25) and Prashant Singh (21) also chipped in some invaluable runs.
Bishal Sushling, Basanta Regmi and Siddhant Lohani took two wickets each for Thunders. Yogendra Singh Karki scored 46 off 25 for Thunders. He struck five fours and two sixes. Avinash Karn’s 43-ball 42 included four boundaries.
Narayan Joshi (22) and Amit Das (17) also made notable contributions. Rohit Singh and man-of-the-match Dinesh Adhikari took two wickets each for the winning side.
