Lyon to miss while Clarke to be included for World Cup

In spite of his wonder performance in ongoing test match series against India off spinner Nathan Lyon is likely to be omitted from Australian World Cup squad with will start from February 14 jointly in Australia and New Zealand.


Left arm spinner Xavier Doherty is likely to be included in the team in place of Lyon. But Australia might also give chance to all-rounders in place of specialist spinners in the squad for World Cup.


Australian selectors are also planning to give space to their Captain Michael Clarke who suffered from hamstring tear during the first test match against India in The Gabba. After undergoing surgery Clarke is expected to be back in the team in team. If not before the tournament but in the midway of probably after second or third match. George Bailey will be Captain until Clarke returns to squad being fully fit.
