West Indies batsman Lendl Simmons has been ruled out of the remaining tour of India from West Indies squad.
The batsman got injured during their training session and was not picked in playing eleven in their first two One Day International matches. He is suffering from back injury.
According to the West Indies Cricket Board, Simmons who had played their practice game of the tour against India A will return back to Trinidad and Tobago and will go on his rehabilitation
West Indies Cricket Board has not announced replacement of Simmons and is expected to be announced soon.
The 29 years old Simmons has not played test matches for West Indies since 2011 but is regularly playing under country’s jersey in shorter version of the game.
