Fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni will be joining the Indian test squad for test matches against Australia after Bhuvneshwar Kumar suffered injury.
In spite of ankle injury Kumar was included in the squad with an expectation of getting fit for the third test match against Australia. But as he is not getting fit and still doubt to return to the team for third test match Kulkarni was included in team as a replacement of Kumar.
Kulkarni had last played for Indian team during Sri Lanka tour of India where he played last three One Day Internationals where he took eight wickets.
Even though Kumar has been replaced by Kulkarni but he will be staying with the Indian team and will be monitored by team’s physiotherapists according to a statement released by Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI).
