Kalaiya win Janashakti Sanshad Cup T20 Cricket

Kalaiya Cricket Club, Kalaiya has won the title of Janashakti Sanshad Cup T20 Cricket Tournament defeating Ranchi Cricket Club, Ranchi, India by a margin of of seven wickets  in the match played at Sideshwar Cricket Ground in Kalaiya on Monday.
As former captain of Nepali national cricket team Binod Das took five wickets Ranchi were bowled out for 93 runs in just 17.3 overs. Fast bowler Das who was rewarded with man of the match award bowled fours overs and conceded just 18 runs. Likewise Avinash Karn, Aarif Sheikh and Bashant Regmi had a scalp.
For Ranchi Nikhil Jaishwal and Kamal Dubey made 25 and 24 runs respectively apart from which non of the players were able to make double figure for their team.
Chasing a target of 94 runs Kalaiya was able to meet the target in 18.2 overs losing three wickets. For Kalaiya Captain Anil Sah who remained not out on 24 runs was the highest run scorer for his team. Likewise Aarif Sheikh, not out 12, Sunil Dhamala 21 and Amit Shrestha 17 contributed with bat to help their team win the title.
Under-19 opening batsman Sunil Dhamala of Kalaiya was awarded with best batsman of the tournament for his 179 runs in six innings. Bashant Regmi of Kalaiya who grabbed 12 wickets in the tournament was adjudged with best bowler award. Monty Singh who took ten wickets and scored 92 runs in five inning was declared player of the tournament.  
With the win Kalayia were awarded with 50 thousands cash prize while runner up Ranchi got a purse of 25 thousands.
