As the third One Day International match between India and New Zealand ended in a tie India still keep the series alive as New Zealand lead the five match series by 2-0.
India needing 17 runs in the last over with one wicket in hand and Ravindra Jadeja was batting in the crease. He took India to a sensational tie in the match.
Chasing the target of 315 runs India Indian middle was not able to put some good partnership and runs in the board. Three fifties from number six, seven and eight batsman India was able to draw the match.
Jadeja who scored 17 runs in last over to take match to tie was the highest runs scorer for India who made 66. Jadeja who was awarded as man of the match played just 45 balls and hit five fours and four sixes. Ravichandran Ashwin also contributed 65 runs while Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni made 50.
Earlier New Zealand made 314 run with the loss of all their wickets in fifty overs as India asked them to bat first winning the toss. Martin Guptil was the highest run scorer for New Zealand who made 111 runs.
Now India and New Zealand will meet in the fourth ODI on January 28 at Hamilton.
