Australian all-rounder Shane Watson will be the next player to miss the Australia’s tour of Pakistan after Captain Michael Clarke because of injury.
Watson was out from Australian team during their triangular series against South Africa and the host nation Zimbabwe in August after Ankle injury. Watson stepped on a ball and rolled his ankle during a training session in Brisbane just before heading towards Zimbabwe.
Watson was having his treatment for his injured ankle but suddenly he suffered soreness in his right calf ahead of series against Pakistan in UAE. This means he will be missing all format of cricket against Pakistan.
The 33 years old all-rounder will be replaced by Kane Richardson in T20 and ODIs while Ben Helifenhaus has been brought in the team in place of Watson in Test matches.
Australia will play one T20, three ODIs and two Test matches against Pakistan starting from October five in Dubai.
