Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has included their fast bowler Ishant Sharma for their remaining One Day Internationals against West Indies on Friday.
Sharma got an opportunity to play for his country as their another medium-pace bowler Mohit Sharma suffered an injury during their first ODI against West Indies where India lost the match by 124 runs. Mohit was ruled out of the team after proviking his “bilateral shin pain.”
After disastrous bowling performance against Australia in home soil Ishant was excluded from the team. He has played his last ODI during India’s tour of New Zealand in January.
In a spam of last one year Ishan has played seven ODIs and has taken eight wickets with an average of 48 and economy rate of 6.87.
India will play their second match of the five matches ODI series against West Indies on October 11 at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi.
