Ireland won the three matches ODI series against Scotland even though they lost the third and the final ODI by eight wickets in the match held at The Village, Malahide, Dublin.
In the match Scotland won the toss and elected to field first. Ireland managed to make 241 runs in 50 overs with the loss of nine wickets. John Francis Mooney was the highest run scorer for Ireland who was four runs shorts of making his century.
Right arm off spinner Rana Majid Haq Khan of Scotland took five wickets conceding 54 runs in his 10 overs.
Chasing the target of 242 runs Scotland finished the match in 45.4 overs loosing just two wickets. Opening batsman Calum Scott MacLeod made not out 116 runs facing 141 runs with 15 fours while Hamish John William Gardiner also contributed 89 runs to help his team win the match.
