Indoor 8’s gets exciting start

Max Media and NIC Asia Bank registered double victory as an exciting 12-over contest of the Qatar Airways Indoor 8’s Tournament began at the Royal Indoor Cricket in Golfutar on Wednesday.


In the Group ‘A’ matches, Max Media thumped Yeti Holidays comprehensively by 63 runs before the ad agency ran riot over Apex Development Bank with a 110-run victory. NIC Asia had to be cautious in their 31-run victory over Yeti Holidays but hammered Apex Development Bank by 117 runs in their second match.


The two double winners lead the pool with six points each. In another Group ‘A’ game, title contenders Civil Bank dispatched Hotel Radisson Kathmandu by 100 runs.


In Group ‘B’, Janata Bank and Last Door Solutions played out a draw before the two teams ended up with four points each to lead the pool in contrasting fashion.


Janata Bank defeated Qatar Airways by 29 runs, while Last Door Solutions earned an important three points following a bye from UNICEF.


The tournament was inaugurated by Qatar Airways Country Manager Ramdas Shivram, national team cricketer Sharad Vesawkar and actor Nisha Adhikari.The tournament organised by Red Cherry Entertainment is played with indoor-customized balls with its own rules.

Out of the 12 participating teams who have been divided into two groups, the winners and runners-up will enter the semi-finals.

Yeti Holidays Vs Max Media

Max Media Won By 63 Runs.

NIC ASIA Bank Vs Yeti Holidays

NIC ASIA Bank won by 31 runs.


Apex Development Bank Vs Max Media

Max Media won by 110 Runs.


NIC ASIA Bank vs Apex development Bank

NIC ASIA won by 117 runs.


Radission vs Civil Bank

CIVIL Bank won by 100 runs.



Group B 


Janata Bank Vs Last door Solution

Match Was tie at the same score of 96.



NCell Won by 103 runs.


Qatar Airways vs Janata Bank

Janata Bank won by 29 runs
