India chase target of 360 runs

India won the second ODI against Australia with the second highest run chase as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma scored century chasing the target of 360 runs at Jaipur still with 39 balls remaining.


Rohit Sharma scored not out 141 runs while Virat Kohli scored not out 100 runs and became the fastest ODI international ton scorer for India to take India a comfortable win by nine wickets.


Sharma who scored his third century played 123 balls and hit 17 fours and 4 sixes. Sharma who was elected as the Man of the match award scored his personal highest total in ODI.


Likewise Kohli finished his century playing 52 balls and hitting eight fours and seven sixes in the match. Shikhar Dhawan also played a solid inning of 95 runs in 86 balls.


Earlier in the match Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. They started the inning pretty well and made huge score of 359 for the loss of five wickets in 50 over. Top five batsman of Australian team scored half century. Captain George Baily scored the highest run for Australian team being not out on 92 runs.


Brief score :- Australia 359 for five in 50 overs (George Bailey 92, Phil Hughes 83, Vinay Kumar 2 for 73 ) lost to India 362 for 1 in 43.3 overs (Rohit Sharma 141*, Virat Kohli 100*, Shikhar Dhawan 95, James Faulkner 1 for 60) by 9 wickets.
