After losing eight consecutive matches, the ICC Academy finally ended their barren spell in Nepal defeating National Cricket Academy (NCA) in both the U-18 and U-13 matches at the TU Stadium on Wednesday.
NCA have already won the NCA-ICC Academy Friendship Series 4-1 before heading into the final day on Thursday with another two Twenty20 matches set.
The visiting ICC Academy finally ended their win drought after the U-18 and U-13 teams claimed victories against National Cricket Academy (NCA) at the TU Stadium today.
ICC Academy defeated NCA by two wickets in the U-18 after a thrilling one-run victory over the U-13 kids. NCA U-18 were restricted to a paltry 92-8 before ICC Academy replied with 94-8 in 19 overs. Mohammad Ul Haq top scored with 33 off 40 with three boundaries and a six for ICC Academy.
Shyam Tripathi took three wickets and Siddhant KC had two victirms for NCA. Earlier, Biraj Tandukar top scored with 24 not out off 28 with two boundaries for NCA and Bishal Karki scored 23. Akshat Dhawan picked up four and Abdullah Murad took three wickets for the visitors.
In U-13, ICC Academy made 128-5 before NCA finished at 127-9. Pratish GC made 30 not out from 25 balls for NCA. Tameen Pawaney picked up three wickets for ICC Academy. Wajih Rheman was ICC Academy’s highest scorer with 31 off 23 that saw him hit four fours.
