Guptil got test recall

After an impressive World Cup, New Zealand opening batsman Martin Guptil has got recall to test squad for their upcoming tour of England. This is the first time as Guptil has been included in test matches since May 2013.

 

Guptil had played in test for New Zealand when New Zealand toured England in 2013. Out of two test matches he was included in playing XI in only one match where he scored 1 and 3.

 

Apart from Guptil, selectors has called Matt Henry for test match while they also included an uncapped allrounder Mitchell Santner in New Zealand’s ODI and T20 squad.

 

New Zealand and England will play two test matches series, five ODI series and one-off T20 Internationals. The first test starts in Lord’s from May 21 while ODI starts from June 9 in Birmingham. The series will end after the one-off T20 that will be played at Old Trafford on June 23.
