Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul will return to international cricket after a nine-month. Gul who suffered from injury has been included in the team for the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka in the team on Sunday.
The selection committee made the decision after Pakistan lost the second ODI in Dubai by six wickets in spite of posting 284 runs. Captain Misbah-ul-Haq also expressed that lack of experience among bowlers in death over caused the loss.
Gul suffered a knee injury in March during the second ODI against South Africa in Centurion. He has missed five series of Pakistan including the Champions Trophy held at England.
Gul will join Pakistan team for the third ODI against Sri Lanka to be held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday.
