Pakistan Cricket Board has recalled their experienced fast bowler Umar Gul and all rounder Mohammad Hafeez in the team for the test match series against Sri Lanka on Thursday.
The selection committee has also included fast bowler Mohammad Talha for the test series after nearly four years time.
PCB has left out fast bowler Mohammad Irfan, Umar Amin and Zulfiqar Babar from the team who had played test match series recently held against South Africa in the UAE.
Gul who was not in the team since February this year because of his injury was recalled to the ODI squad ahead of the third match of the series against Sri Lanka.
Hafeez who had been dropped for the test series against South Africa in UAE because of his poor form. As he scored three consecutive centuries in the ODI series against Sri Lanka got a call back in the team.
The first of the three test match series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will start in Abu Dhabi on December 31.
