Golden Gate International College claimed the title of the Akhil Cup Inter-college Cricket Tournament on Friday.
In the final match at the Pulchowk Engineering College grounds, Golden Gate hammered Prithvi Narayan (PN) Campus of Pokhara by nine wickets.
PN made a brittle total of 106-9 in their allotted 20 overs and GGIC sweat little surpassing the total in just 9.3 overs.
Skipper Paresh Lohani hammered 43 off 28, while Naresh Budhayera slammed 38 off 22.
Naresh, who also picked up one wicket in the final, was adjudged the best batsman of the tournament.
Sanjay Shrestha was unbeaten on seven-ball 11.
Earlier, Anil Gurung made 52 off 58 balls and Ajendra Chhantyal scored 19 off 30. No other remaining batsmen reached double figures.
Champions Golden Gate collected a carsh purse of Rs 60,000 and PN took Rs 40,000.
