Great Himalaya Cricket Academy (GHCA) took an unassailable 2-0 lead to win the five-match series against the visiting Delhi Blues Cricket Club (DBCC) at the Pulchowk Enginnering College grounds on Friday.
Prakash Bista was once again the star performer for GHCA whose scintillating 82 off 57 spurred the local side to 249 all out in 43.1 overs in a 45-over-a-side game. Prakash had also slammed a magnificent century (109 not out) on Thursday.
DBCC, in reply, were bundled out for just 161 in 38.3 overs. The first match between the two teams was washed out due to rain, while the second game had ended on a draw. The fifth and final one-day will be played on Saturday.
After the whirlwind knock from Prakash, Ram Jaiswal did the rest of the job picking up 3-16 from three overs. Bishal Babu Adhikari took 2-23 from nine and Krishna Gajurel was economical in his 2-12 from five overs.
Paras Jain top scored for DBCC making 40 off 55. Pradhyuman Yadav (35) and Satish Sharma (13) were other notable contributors for the tourists.
Earlier, Suman KC made 35 off 52, Arpan Kunwar scored 33 off 28 and Pradeep Tandan managed a run-a-ball 28 that shadowed Sharjeet Srivastav’s 4-54. Rishav Rathore also picked up two wickets for DBCC.
