GHCA, DBCC play thrilling tie

The opening match between Great Himalaya Cricket Academy (GHCA) and Delhi Blues Cricket Club (DBCC) of the Indo-Nepal U-19 Youth Series ended on a thrilling tie on Wednesday.

After the first match of the five-match series that was scheduled for Tuesday was washed out due to incessant downpour, the second match at the Tribhuvan University Stadium had to be reduced to 25-over-a-side.

DBCC made 94-7 in 25 overs after they were put in to bat first. GHCA, in reply, were bundled out for 94 all out in 24.5 overs. Bishal Babu Adhikari was left stranded on 24 not out from 25 balls.

Sanjeen Khanal (14) and Pradeep Tandan (12) were other GHCA batsmen to make runs in double figures. Chayan Sharma picked up 3-19 for the visiting side, while Parash Jain and Pratham Rastogi picked up two wickets each.

Kshitiz Sharma also had one scalp. Chayan, earlier, also shone with the bat making 21 not out from 25 balls. Pradhyuman Yadav made 18 off 40 and Ankit Negi chipped in 10 runs.
