GF Nepal collaborates with EPL Twenty20

Governance Facility (GF) Nepal, a Non Government Organisation funded by British, Swiss and Danish donor agencies for the rights of migrant workers, has joined hands with Everest Premier League Twenty20.

“Its great to be associated with a tournament that has been creating a much hype in Nepali cricket,” said Caroline Vandenabeele, Facility Head of GF Nepal. “Through this association we want to let everyone know about the circumstances that migrant workers have been living in, especially in the gulf countries,” added Vandenabeele.

GF Nepal Deputy Head of Programme Shailin Tripathi said: “The issue of migrant workers is not their own but of everyone. Through the active involvement of country’s top notch cricketers, we are trying to let their problems reach out to people from every other aspect of life.”

GF Nepal will be endorsing EPL marquee cricketers during the tournament, while EPL organisers will provide them with on-ground promotional programmes.

Tournament organisers EPL Pvt Ltd had recently unveiled the teams, owners and marquee players, while an auction of the cricketers will be held after the third week of October. Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Pokhara, Chitwan, Biratnagar and Bhairahawa are the six city-based franchise teams participating in the tournament.
