Gayle called for one-off T20 against India

Board
has called their experienced hard hitting opening batsman Chris Gayle for
their one-off T20 International against India to be held on July 9.

Left handed Gayle was included in the 13-men squad last
played for West Indies against England in the final of T20 World Cup held in
India.

38-years old Gayle, who was included in the team in place
of Lendl Simmons is the highest run scorer for West Indies in the shortest
format of the game. Gayle has 1519 runs with a strike rate of 145.49. Gayle,
who has two centuries in his name has an average of 35.32.

India and West Indies T20 match will be played at
Sabina Park. Gayle, whose home ground is Sabina park has never played the
shortest format at this venue.

Currently West Indies and India are playing 5-matches
ODI series, India leading 2-1. The fifth and final match between these two
teams will be played on July 6 in Jamaica.
