Amrit Mathur, a columnist in Hindustan Times and GMR Sports
Head of Operations is organizing a workshop for Everest Premer League teams.
The September 15 workshop will be participated in by EPL team
owners and players. EPL Pvt Ltd had invited Mathur to organize the workshop.
Mathur has experience of working as Media Director for BCCI.
He has also travelled with Indian team as manager and media
manager. Mathur had worked as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Delhi
Daredevils, an Indian Premier League team.
According to EPL management, the workshop which will be
divided into four parts, will focus on EPL’s business model and maximizing
the return for EPL team owners. The first part will be with team owners and
will be followed by participation of team managers, general manager and CEO.
The third one will be an Interaction with marquee players or
captains of different franchise teams. The workshop will then conclude with an
interactions with media.
The highest cash-prized EPL is scheduled to be held in
December with the champions getting a cash purse of Rs 2.1 million. The
organizers have already announced the teams and marquee players of six
The T20 format will also see international players playing
for different teams, while an auction for the tournament will take place after
the third week of October.
