Former New Zealand Captain and coach of Chennai Super King Stephen Fleming believes that Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Indian Captain can lead his country for another three or four years.
Dhoni who became captain during the maiden T20 World Cup in 2007 in which India lifted the trophy defeating arch rival Pakistan in the final. Then in the year 2007 Dhoni was given to lead in ODI and in the next year in 2008 he was again appointed as the Test Captain. Since then he has lead his country in 53 tests, 159 ODIs and 48 T20s.
Dhoni is regarded as one of the most successful captain to lead India. Under his captaincy India won the maiden T20 World Cup in 2007 and also won ODI World Cup in 2011 in their home soil.
“I have not talked about this matter with Dhoni. But he can lead India for next three or four years. But he needs to be fit to continue his career for further,” Said Fleming. “Indian player has a busy schedule to play all the year. And with this IPL been included in the calendar has engaged them more in cricket all the year,” describes the coach of CSK.
