Final washed out as teams share trophy

Lahan Paragon Higher Secondary School of Siraha and Tribhuvan Adarsha Higher Secondary School of Kathmandu shared the title of Wai Wai Inter-school Girls National Cricket Tournament in Pokhara after no play was possible due to rain on Saturday.

The match had to be abandoned when Lahan Paragon were 14-0 in 3.5 overs after electing to bat first before rainwater arrived.

With tournament organizers not keeping a reserve day for the final, both teams had to share the trophy. Both the teams were rewarded with Rs 20,000 each.

Anuradha Chaudhary of Lahan Paragon was named the player-of-the-series and best batswomen. She made 74 runs and picked up five wickets in three matches.

Susma Shrestha of Tribhuvan Adarsha was adjudged the best bowler. Sushma took 12 wicket from three games.
