Duminy out of CLT20 because of knee injury

JP Duminy has been ruled out of Champions League T20 Cricket Tournament because of knee injury from his team Cape Cobras. Duminy was compelled to withdraw his name from the team that is travelling to India as he suffered knee injury during triangular series against the host country Zimbabwe and Australia.

 

South African all-rounder is the highest run scorer for Cobras in T20s. Duminy has played 40 matches for his team scoring 981 runs. Duminy had earlier played for Cobras in two Champions League T20 including the semi-final in 2009.

 

In spite of injury Duminy played the final of triangular series against Australia which was held on September 6.

 

Cobras will begin their campaign of Champions League T20 against Northern Districts on Friday at Raipur.

 

Cape Cobras will begin their campaign against Northern Districts at Shadeed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Friday, September 19.
