Multi national cricket kit manufacturers DSC has roped in Nepali globetrotter Sandeep Lamichhane in a kit sponsorship deal.
Sandeep, who is currently playing for Jamaica Tallawahs in the Caribbean Premier League, has signed a one-year deal with the company. Sandeep was without a kit sponsor after his one year deal following the 2018 Indian Premier League with Grey Nicholls had ended.
The 20-year old leg spinner told cricketingnepal.com from Trinidad & Tobago that he cannot disclose the amount signed with his new sponsors.
“I have signed a non-disclosure agreement with DSC. But what I can tell is that DSC will be providing me with cash along with the kits that I might require in different time frame. The deal materialises following a period of long correspondence,” Sandeep said.
Sandeep, who was drafted in as the marquee player by Tallawahs, has already taken two wickets in two matches for the franchise.
The only cricket from Nepal to take 100 Twenty20 wickets, has also played franchise leagues around the world also including the Australian Big Bash League, Pakistani Super League and Bangladesh Premier League. He is also the part of England’s The Hundred — a newly launched 100-ball tournament.
The Hundred, however, has been postponed indefinitely due to Corona Virus pandemic.
