Dhangadhi Cricket Academy (U-17) team returned with mixed results on Saturday in their Sri Lanka tour. DCA had won both of their matches on Friday.
DCA defeated RP Cricket Academy by six wickets after they were humiliated by 94 runs in the morning match against RP ‘Gold’. DCA have so far won four matches and lost as many in their tour.
On Saturday, RP were all out for 110 runs in 19.1 overs after five of their batsmen were victim of run outs. Ashutosh Kunwar also took two wickets, while Anmol Swar, Tekendra Khadka and Aman Panthi had one wicket apiece. Bibesh Singh then replied with 36 and skipper Dipendra Thapa scored 33 not out as DCA reached 111-4.
Roshan Adhikari also chipped in 18 and Laxman Parki made 11 for DCA. In the morning, RP ‘Gold’ piled a mammoth 185-5 after batting first. It was the highest team total against DCA in their tour. DCA were then bundled out for just 91 runs in 14 overs.
Dipendra was the only DCA batsman to make some impact in the second match with 27 runs. Earlier, Mohammad Rifai had top scored for the local side smashing 71 runs. Ashutosh Kunwar was the pick of the DCA bowlers returning with three wickets, while Shiva Raj Air, Tekendra Khadka and Anmol also snapped one each.
DCA will wrap up their tour with another match on Monday.
