DCA begins NCA’s U-12 Programme

Kathmandu:- Dhangadhi Cricket Academy (DCA) today began its U-12 Programme under the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

This is the first programme launched by NCA after it got the affiliation from NCA. In an effort to groom and nurture cricketing talent from grassroots, NCA had given a go ahead to run its programme in Dhangadhi.

NCA will provide coaches to DCA and the kits required to run the programme. Nepal’s former national team skipper Binod Das, who is looking after all NCA activities, along with left arm spinner inaugurated the programme at the DCA premises. The programme will now run every Saturday.

NCA has already launched U-12 Programme in Kathmandu where former cricketers Raju Basnyat, Dipendra Chaudhary, coach Jagat Tamatta along with Binod, Shakti and other national team members are looking after the players every Saturday. DCA will now pick up the best among the current participants to provide further trainings. 

The best among the particiapants in Dhangadhi, will qualify for further training with full scholarship in Kathmandu where NCA will be looking after their expenses. The DCA will also run NCA programmes that have been planned for this year. Other NCA programmes, as planned by national team coach Pubudu Dassanayake, include fast bowling camp in different districts along with U-19 boys’ and girls’ programme.
