DBCC salvage reputation with victory

After losing the five-match Indo-Nepal Friendly Series, the visiting Delhi Blues Cricket Academy (DBCC) signed off with victory defeating Great Himalaya Cricket Academy (GHCA) by seven wickets on Saturday.


At the Pulchowk Engineering College grounds, Prakash Bista once again delivered with the bat smashing 83 off 62 as GHCA were 162 all out in 32.4 overs.


DBCC reached 166-3 in 41 overs riding on a battling half century from Paras Jain. Paras scored 78 not out from 127 balls. Pradhyuman Yadav also made 30 off 46.


Ram Jaiswal picked up 2-32 for GHCA and Krishna Gajurel took 1-24.


Earlier, the current U-19 national cricketer Prakash was at the heart of GHCA batting once again scoring a bulk of runs in their innings. Prakash, who made 109 in the third one-day and 82 in the fourth, hammered 11 fours and three sixes.


Jeevan Lamsal also chipped in 61 off 64. The first match between the two teams was washed out and the second had ended on a draw.
