Dav Watmore to be new coach of Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe Cricket Board is about to announce Dav Watmore as their new Coach for Zimbabwe Cricket team before the World Cup 2015 which will kick off jointly in Australia and New Zealand from February 14.

According to cricinfo, Watmore will be replacing Stephen Mangongo who was sacked from the Zimbabwe Coach in December after their poor performance in Bangladesh where they were white-washed in both test and ODIs where they played five ODIs and three test matches.

They will also appoint a new batting coach whose name is yet to be announced while Doglas Hondo former fast bowler will be the bowling coach.

Dav Watmore has already worked as the coach of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Under the coach of Watmore Sri Lanka had won the World Cup in 1996 and Pakistan was able to clinch the title of Asia Cup in 2012.

Watmore had also took Bangladesh to super eight in 2007 World Cup where they defeated cricketing power houses India and South Africa during the tournament.
