The Nepali national cricket team preparing for their Twenty20 Series against Hong Kong has been left without jersey as the new set of the team’s outfit has not been available minutes before their first game.
The match between Nepal and Hong Kong was scheduled to start at 10:15 AM Nepali time at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla, Sri Lanka, but the jersey has not arrived till now which should have been there on Tuesday.
According to the Nepali cricket team jersey sponsors BS, the jersey is in Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka, but it will take about seven hours to reach the ground.
As per the ICC rules and regulations, teams cannot use the jersey used in different tournaments. If the game begins in time, Nepal have to use the old set of jersey used in other tournaments covering the logo.
Rajesh Pulami Magar and Karan KC who have been in the team for the Sri Lanka tour are the likely to bear the brunt for the problem.
