Cricket team to leave for Asian Games today

Nepali national cricket team on Thursday left for South Korea to particiapte in the 17th Asian Games.


Nepal, who are drawn in Group ‘B’, will play their first match against Kuwait on September 27 and meet Maldives the next day.


Nepal will face Afghanistan if they finish as Group ‘B’ winners and a runner-up will finish will set them a clash with Test side Bangladesh in the quarter-finals.


Paras Khadka will lead the team while Jagat Tamata will be the coach. Coach Pubudu Dassanayake will take the role of the chief coach. Srinivas Rana is the team manager.
