Cook wish to continue as captain

England captain Alaister Cook has expressed his wish to continue his captaincy till 2015 World Cup which is being organized jointly by Australia and New Zealand.


Cook expressed his views talking with press after winning the fourth One Day International by 57 runs held at Perth on Friday. This is the first win for England in Australia after loosing five test match series by 5-0 and going down till third ODI by 3-0.


Cook who had earlier expressed his view of reviewing about his captaincy and resigning from ODI captaincy and continuing with test matches as captain.


“World cup is just one year away. In these 12 months time I want to focus on cricket. I have learned a lot in these three years as a captain. So it would be wrong if I leave the captaincy before the world cup. So I will continue my captaincy if I am given the opportunity, ” Cook told the press.


England will conclude their ODI series against Australia on 26th January at Adelaide.
