Australia won the fifth and final One Day International match against England by a margin of just five and clinched the series 4-1 in the match held at Adelaide on Sunday.
This victory was a good victory to Australians as they defended the target of 218 runs and finished Ashes series by 9-1 including tests and ODIs against England.
Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. They made just 217 runs in fifty overs with loosing their nine wickets.
T20 captain Geroge Bailey was the highest run scorer of Australia who made 56 runs.
Chasing the target of 218 runs England was all out on 49.4 overs making just 212 runs just five short runs for their victory.
Joe Root who was highest run scorer for England made 55 runs and tried to take his team the second victory with Eion Morgan (39 runs of 40 balls) but could not let Australia win the match.
James Faulkner who contributed with bat making 27 runs and took two important wickets of England was elected as man of the match award.
Australian opening batsman Aaron Finch who scored two centuries during the five ODI series was adjudged as man of the series for his contribution from his bat.
Now Australia and England will meet each others in three match T20 series that starts from January 29 at Dellerive Oval, Hobart.
