Australian captain Michael Clarke will undergo surgery for his torn right hamstring today.
Clarke who returned back to Australian side just ahead of first test match against India after recovering from hamstring injury tore his right hamstring during the last and final day of first test match against India in Adelaide.
As he is undergoing hamstring surgery his doubt of playing World Cup in February is now covered by black cloud. Australia’s first match of home soil World Cup is in less than two months time and it is not sure how long it will take him to get recovery.
After his injury and sure to miss the remaining of test matches against India Steve Smith has been appointed as new captain of Australian test team.
