Clarke supports Bat for Nepal campaign

Australian World Cup winning captain Michael Clarke has supported Bat for Nepal, a relief fund collection match to be played in Malaysia between Nepal XI and World XI on August 9

 

Malaysian Cricket Board is organizing the match to collect the fund for Nepali people who were affected by the great earthquake of April 257.9M earthquake.Clarke, who led Australia to 2015 World Cup, tweeted in support of the cause. Clarke tweeted:”@mvallipuram @cricnepal Supporting the #BatforNepal match at #kinraraoval Great initiative & worthy cause. http://www.cricketmalaysia.com  for info!”

Clarke, however, wont’t be available for the match as it coincides with the fourth Ashes Tests against their traditional rivals England. The fourth Ashes Test is scheduled for August 6-10.  Apart from Clarke, former Sri Lankan World Cup winner Sanath Jayasuriya, right arm fast bowler Latish Malinga and West Indies legendary player Sir Clive Lloyd have also supported the campaign.
